ポケモン ワールドチャンピオンシップス2008

世界30カ国から350人以上集まったプレイヤーの中から、まる一日かけて開催された予選を勝ち抜き、各ディビジョン（リーグ）上位16名のプレイヤーが本選トーナメントに進出！　2日目となる8月17日（日）、ついに2008年のワールドチャンピオンを決める最後の戦いがスタートした。

ワールドチャンピオンシップス2008 概要

8月16日（土）・17日（日）にアメリカのフロリダ州で、ポケモンカードゲームの世界チャンピオンを決める大会「ワールドチャンピオンシップス2008」と、日米の『ポケットモンスター ダイヤモンド・パール』の強豪プレイヤーが集まって戦う「ポケモンゲーム日米交流戦2008　～Pokemon Video Game Showdown 2008～」が開催！

For the first time ever, both the Pokémon TCG World Championships and the Pokémon Video Game Showdown finals are happening on the same weekend. When the dust settles, new champions will be crowned and more than $100,000 in scholarships will be awarded.

ポケモンカードゲーム、ビデオゲームの世界大会「ポケモンワールドチャンピオンシップス2008」。 これは、その会場の様子や勝敗を閲覧できるサイトです。大会では、30カ国400人以上のポケモンプレイヤーたちが熱いバトルを繰り広げました。トーナメント表をインターフェースに採用し、さらに3D空間へ配置することで、バトルの臨場感やスピード感、さらに世界一の大会という優越感、達成感を表現しています。 PROPOSAL Actionscript3ライブラリである Away3D を使用し、3D空間を表現しました。 メニュー選択後の2Dから3Dへとシームレスに繋がる表現で、大きな驚きを与えられるよう設計しています。また、映画のワンシーンであるかのような重たさを感じさせない滑らかなモーションを意識。100をこえる開発用モックアップを作成し、デザインとFlashを同時に進めることで制作効率とクオリティを向上させております。
