「ポケモンワールドチャンピオンシップス2021」中止告知内容

2021年にイギリス・ロンドンでの開催を予定しておりました、「ポケモンワールドチャンピオンシップス2021」を中止することに決定いたしました。楽しみにお待ちいただいておりました皆さまには大変申し訳ございませんが、慎重に検討を重ねたうえでの判断であり、何卒ご理解いただきますようお願い申し上げます。

この1年間で生活様式や環境が変わる中、ポケモンカードゲームを遊び続けて下さる皆さま、ひいてはポケモンカードゲームに関わってくださるすべての方に、改めてお礼申し上げます。

「ポケモンワールドチャンピオンシップス」は、参加者の皆さまが、様々な人と通じ合うことのできる特別なイベントだと考えております。そして、誰もが安心して参加できるイベントを、皆さまと一緒に作っていきたいと我々は考えております。来年も引き続きイギリス・ロンドンでの開催を予定しており、皆さまとお会いできる日を楽しみにしております。

Next Pokémon TCG, Video Game, and Pokkén Tournament DX World Championships Moved to 2022 in London

The safety and well-being of our competitors, organizers, employees, local communities, and partners continues to be our top priority and is the primary consideration with every decision we make.

After careful review and pursuant to guidance set forth by local, regional, and national health authorities, as well as the World Health Organization, Public Health England, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, we have made the difficult decision to move out the next Pokémon World Championships to 2022. This event is planned to take place in London, UK.

With the continued suspension of the Play! Pokémon event series, all sanctioned Play! Pokémon events including League Challenge, League Cup, Premier Challenge, and Midseason Showdown will remain suspended until further notice. No Championship Points have been awarded for the 2021 season. Any Championship Points earned from the 2020 Play! Pokémon Championship Series will roll over to the 2022 Championship Series. We look forward to celebrating the accomplishments of all our competitors at an expanded 2022 Pokémon World Championships in London. All invitations to the 2020 Pokémon World Championships will be honored for the 2022 World Championships.

We are closely monitoring health mandates, guidelines, and recommendations from appropriate government agencies to determine when the resumption of events and operations will be safe for our communities. We continue to examine each country on a case-by-case basis, informed by the latest updates and mandates issued by appropriate government recommendations and in consultation with medical experts.

Thank you to our millions of players, fans, organizers, and Professors around the world for their continued support and understanding. The Pokémon International Championships and Pokémon World Championships are meaningful occasions to us and the player community, and we look forward to when we can all see each other and compete again.

In addition, we will continue to support competitive online play through our new series, Pokémon Players Cup, the Play! Pokémon Team Challenge, as well as support through our retail partners through League at Home.

「ポケモンワールドチャンピオンシップス2022」出場権について

「ポケモンワールドチャンピオンシップス2021（以下、ポケモンWCS2021）」中止、およびイギリス・ロンドンにて「ポケモンワールドチャンピオンシップス2022（以下、ポケモンWCS2022）」の開催が決定したことにともない、WCSの出場権獲得条件に変更がございます。

以下のプレイヤーには、「ポケモンWCS2022」の出場権が付与されます。
「チャンピオンシップシリーズ2020」等にて、ポケモンWCS2021の出場権を取得したプレイヤー
「チャンピオンズリーグ2021横浜」にて、ポケモンWCS2021の出場権を取得したプレイヤー
今後、開催予定の「チャンピオンズリーグ2021」と「ポケモンジャパンチャンピオンシップス2021」の各大会上位入賞者
チャンピオンシップポイント（以下、CSP）の獲得上位者　（獲得条件については変更がございます）
また、今後発表予定の、2021年9月以降の大型大会の上位入賞者にも、ポケモンWCS2022の出場権が付与される予定です。

CSP上位者に付与される出場権の獲得条件変更について
2021年6月末をCSPの集計期日としておりましたが、1年延長し、2022年6月末へ変更いたします。これに伴いシティリーグの開催数なども変更予定です。

CSPの上位者には「ポケモンWCS2022」の出場権が付与されます。
